I’m a winner!
Over at the American Crafts blog!!
Hush! Really?
Yep. Last week I entered their Flair Challenge and I had just the layout ready to scrap to enter. I wasn’t sure I’d get to it in time, but I did.
Not only did I scrap something from my to do pile (which is now empty)…but I won! Yay me!
Here’s the layout…
Documenting T-man’s first experience with soccer last summer/fall.
Funny…I just re-read the challenge and realized that it said two or more pieces of flair. It’s a good thing I added three here…it didn’t occur to me that it said that until now. I did some cute cards that day too…and I don’t think they have two pieces of flair on them. Good thing I entered the layout. Pays to read, people!
Tone on tone journaling…I just took the same paper as the block (which is the reverse side of one of their pattern papers in the Junior line…that’s one thing I love about AC…they are double sided with a coordinating solid on the back), printed out my journaling and cut it into strips. Then I adhered it using glue dots to let it pop up a bit. And these thickers are my favorite right now!
Pennants again…these were part of the chipboard accents in the American Crafts Junior Line…as were all papers and flair on this layout.
So how fun is that?
And what do I win…just a full collection of flair from American Crafts! Oh yah! You’ll be seeing lots of flair pop up here soon!
I’ll share the cards I did with my scraps of this line next week…
Happy Weekend!
Kristen
