My baby!

He's already 2 1/2! Where did the time go? I know I'll say that a lot...but seriously.

So at this time in his brothers' lives I was pregnant and about to give birth...feels kind of weird to not have another on the horizon.

Happy half birthday buddy...

I guess a layout is in order...that third child doesn't lack for pictures or layouts in my house...it's kind of my thing. :)

First Year in Review...

For the February kit I designed a fun year in review for Sam's book...highlighting everything he was doing now that he had turned one.

Well, this past week, Green Tangerines used it as their kit of the week! That means you get everything you need to make this layout...plus a color scan of the layout to work from. How fun! You can call the store directly or stop by to pick your very own up.

My favorite parts of this layout were all the journaling strips highlighting his new words and talents...and then his handprint. I'll have to share with you my handprint wall (a la Becky Higgins if you follow her blog) sometime. But I'll just say that when I'm doing the handprint I always do an extra on paper to use on a layout later. I actually scanned this one in and printed it out in black because it went so much better with the layout colors than the original paint I used.

Here it is...my first blogged layout...can I get a woot woot?

I did this one for Green Tangerines and the Teresa Collins line sold out so fast, they didn't have time to display it or anything. So sad...I thought it was an adorable layout.

The polka paper was Teresa Collins' Christmas line last winter and the recipe stuff is her line from the fall or winter? Such cute, cute stuff...but get it fast when that girl releases new stuff...it's hot!

I rarely do a layout without a bit of brads somewhere...they just add a little somethin' somethin'! And can you tell that I hand cut the parenthesis from the journal card and popped 'em up with dots? I'll do a better job of photographing those little details in the future as I get better at this blog thing!

And can you tell that these pictures are horrid? I totally forgot to change some settings on my camera...but I so wanted to document my youngest finding his own snack of Graham Cracker crumbs (!) so I used them anyway. Who cares?! For me it's all about documenting our lives...not the perfect photos. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE good photos...but I love the stories more.
