catch up…june cards #4

{You can check out the rest of the team’s cards here.}

Loved the simplicity of this one. I used a paper piercer to do faux stitching along side the green paper…

Whew…we’re all caught up now. Soon I’ll have the next kit to share! The kids are back in school…I’ll be working on how I’m spending my time now that things are changing up again. Hopefully I’ll pop back in here more often…we’ll see…

april kit club card #4

{Check out the rest of April’s fabulous stuff from the team here.}

The last card of the bunch…

cardhb2u
I saw this idea for banners created from a scalloped edge punch a few weeks back. I did not book mark the blog. I’m so annoyed. I’m pretty sure it was one of the Studio Calico girls. If you know what I’m talking about…please link in the comments. I do want to give credit where it’s due!!!

{ETA...I found it! It WAS a SC girl...I'm a big fan, Nicole! You can find her tutorial here.}

I loved the idea when I saw it and I love it even more now that I’ve done it. I see many more of these coming soon…and I NEED a bigger scallop edge punch now, too! LOL.

april kit card #2

Check out what the other fabulous PBD girls did here.

Here is my second card with this month’s kit…

cardbestdayever

Can’t say it’s my favorite card ever…was trying to get a bit eclectic and it turned into overkill. But I just love Jillibean so it’s all good! :)

april kit card #1

Considering I’m on my way to pick up my May kit…I figured maybe I should share my April kit stuff! Ha!

And to be different…I’m starting with my cards…

cardplantyourfeet

The large flower is actually the packaging from the Jillibean corrugated shapes. I loved it immediately and had to use it.

This card was featured over on the Jillibean Soup blog today in Soup Spotting…but I had sent in a lower quality photo…not sure what I was thinking. Oh well. Enjoy.

And don’t forget to check out what the rest of the PBD team did here.

march card #4

{Check out what the rest of the PBD team did here.}

Last one for the March kit…my favorite of the bunch.

cardsohappy

Say a little prayer for me tomorrow at 8:15 a.m PST. My first Half Marathon is about to become part of the books. I’ve been so good to my knees this week and I hope it pays off. A break in the rain would be awesome too. ;)

And the last one that I did…five total! I told you I was card crazy this month!

cardmyfriend

The funny thing is, it’s a February kit and I didn’t even think to do any Valentine’s Cards with it! This one could pass…love the red and turquoise!

cardgoodlife

I got an idea that it would be fun to create a card to fit in a regular business envelope. I don’t know why I didn’t think about it before…it was fun to break out of the mold!

That fun pennant is actually the extra part off of the Sassafrass Lass paper…I love how they include that extra bit with the barcode!

cards #4

Last card of the bunch. This was totally inspired by my blog perusing…just wish I could remember who did it. Boo.

hbcard0111

This was probably my favorite of the cards I did this month!

hbcard0111detail

HB = Happy Birthday…or if you are southen cal related then Huntington Beach. Ah…the beach…how I wish I could be laying on one. This winter gloom is getting to me!

I’ll be back soon with some running fun…and then the February kit should be coming up!

cards #3

These last two cards (one tomorrow) used my favorite parts of the kit…all Jillibean!

brightcard0111

I punched out squares with a punch and then layered scraps behind the windows. The stitching is totally crooked and off…by accident and yet on purpose. I wanted it to NOT look perfect.

brightcard0111detail

I’m not usually a fan of using a large sticker all by itself…but I’m digging how this one came out.

cards #2

Here’s another…very simple this time. And, yes, Jillibean filled.

laughcard0111

I used a paper piercer to poke the faux stitching along all the edges. The Jillibean sticker was mounted on green paper and then pop dotted up just to make it dimensional.

laughcard0111detail I added the scalloped edge sticker on top of the same paper to give a subtle texture. I kind of like it.
