in stitches...

Okay, I know I've been a bad blogger...I have a million excuses, none of which you remotely care about. But suffice it to say that life got in the way and the blog got moved to the bottom of the list. Will you forgive me?

So...as promised...one of my favorite scrapbooking tools...

photo taken with my iPhone using the SepiaCamera app...fun, huh?

Did you guess right? Yep, I love my sewing machine. I've never been a big sewer. Save for a funky stuffed animal in HomeEc class during Sophomore year and a few easy peasy Halloween costumes, I don't claim to sew.

But I found this little adorable machine when a local combo quilt/scrap store was going out of business. It's a Janome...which I've heard are good machines. It's called the Sew Petite (but it looks like they don't have that model anymore). I love that it's a little mini version of a big ole sewing machine. I actually store it in a file box with a lid so I can push it out of my way when I'm not using it. And because of it's cute little size, I can tote it with me to crops and stuff. So fun!

Anyway, I'm not a big seamstress...but I love the look of a little stitching on a scrapbook page.

I actually 'lifted' this idea of stitching across felt letters from a fellow GT design team member...Hi Amy! Isn't the look so cute?

I'll be back soon with more evidence on how darn cute a little stitching can be...and it's so easy...I'll tell you how to do it, too!
