It’s our first experience with baseball in this house and thank goodness the weather finally cooperated. We had fun at the first T-ball game of the season (other than freezing in the cold wind…)
Jillibean Soup posted a sketch last week and I thought it would be fun to use it to commemorate our first ever game day of the 2010 season. Here’s the sketch:
These pictures were taken by a dad on our team…aren’t they great? Being the double page gal that I am, I’ll most likely do a more complete view of the season later…but today I was happy to record my thoughts of that first game.
Paper: Bazzill, Jillibean Soup (paisley), Jenni Bowlin (on pennants); Flair: American Crafts; twill: Jillibean
I’m loving pennants lately and a sports page is perfect for them! The original sketch called for circles at the top, but I’m mixing it up…then I found this bit of American Crafts flair and added it for that extra baseball touch. The twill is actually the ABC twill by Jillibean that I turned over since the alphabet would have been a bit much.
My favorite little journaling strips…
Rounded corners and stitching are my go tos these days…and I loved how the edge of the twill was fraying after I cut it so I helped it along a bit more…
What a fun sketch…
