Last weekend I taught a Christmas catch up class at Green Tangerines. My cute scrappy friend Raimi and I both designed two layouts and then the Creative Crew gathered all the supplies (you rock, girls!) and we taught a group of 40 people the techniques on the layout.
What a whirlwind 2 1/2 hours…but oh so fun!
Here’s a layout from that day:
The techniques on this layout were the blinged out chipboard letters and the faux stitching.
We paper pierced the faux stitching around the journaling block and the edges of the layout itself. You can either use a thumb tack/paper piercer and a ruler or a straight stitching template (I have an old one from Stampin’ Up!) or the quickest way is to run it through your sewing machine without thread!
The journaling was done on the computer and then I cut it into strips and adhered it with glue dots for dimension.
The students in the class blinged out their chipboard letters with glittery embossing powder. Mine were painted and then a layer of red stickles applied…but in interest of time and drying, we opted to emboss instead. Turned out just as cute!
This sketch was from the CK blog…12 days of Christmas.
